She performed her first solo concert at the age of 12.
With her playing, she made a fascinating impression not only on amateurs, but also on professors - she was accepted to the Gnessin Musical College without an exam, and she was enrolled in the Leningrad Conservatory after finishing only the second year of the school (instead of the prescribed four).
